The Respect

Definition

Interpretation of the respect concept lends itself to various avenues initiated by parental conformism. Traditions and courtesy represent the least singular avenues whereas imaginations, philosophies and madness are at foundation of the other ones.

Its Latin origin, Respectus, means: looking back, consideration, reflection, concern, taking account of, resort, refuge, asylum, examination. The Latin Respecto verb supposes: unceasingly looking back, turning often the eyes towards, looking at, waiting; having the eyes on, not loosing sight of, dealing with, being interested in; awaiting or hoping for somebody (in return).

The Random House College Dictionary specifies that to look back means to review past events; return in thought.

Respect implies history that conjugates at imperfect and tense times, which feeds respect basis in its edification.

Respect fostered by others generates discovery, which calls for transparency - the primeval image where preconceived concepts are blurred to make place for true human behaviour. To respect others is to orchestrate a vital perspective where frustrations become archaic as oneness prohibits their raisons d'être.

« Because I is another. If brass wakes up as a bugle, it is not its fault. This is obvious to me: I attend to the blossoming of my thought: I look at it, I listen to it: I make a bow stroke: the symphony makes its stirs in the depths, or comes from a jump onto the scene. » A. Rimbaud

To conceive the eternity of one moment. To distinguish the beliefs and to inquire about nuances of horizons.

To recognize that the answers belong to those who hold them, that they appear when fears grow blurred.

While we may long for a world of oneness, fundamentalism is never far away.

Between both hides the ordinary life that always pretends for complaisance, which is then somewhat, obliterated by polite boredom.

This could define a concept called respect.
