ContextThe Time Machine is a long ribbon – of some 14 billion years – representing the main events that contributed to our current humanity since the dawn of the universe.
If the display scale of the Time Machine for the last two centuries would have been retained since the Big Bang, you would need some 75 million CRT or LCD screens in width to contain the story of our universe. To circumvent this disproportion, a vertical black bar on the ribbon represents a new scaling. Without closing the current window, drag the horizontal bar hereunder to measure its effect.
There are more than three hundred reference marks categorized according to the legend provided at the bottom of the screen. Each of these reference marks can be clicked in order to read an information sheet divided in four tabs.
Moreover, you can click the
Find button to search for a particular event. In order to help you locating it, you can target categories according to an alphabetical or chronological order..
Note that it is not necessary to close the current window before opening another one.
In spite of multiple theories, the reference marks aiming at the universe creation and the species evolution make both the subject of a scientific consensus that rests, partly, on Darwin's ideas.
Unfortunately, the contents of the information windows (more than 300!) are not yet translated. This should be done in a few weeks. Do not hesitate to leave us your
email, should you want to be informed when the translation will be finished. Just put: 'Time Machine Translation' in your subject message. Thanks for your comprehension!
